Code of Ethics for CUCP Conference Sponsors

Conference sponsors play a vital role in supporting events and promoting positive industry practices. This Code of Ethics outlines the standards and principles that sponsors must adhere to, ensuring integrity, fairness, and professionalism in all sponsorship activities.

1. Integrity and Honesty

Sponsors must conduct their business with the highest standards of integrity and honesty. They should provide accurate information about their products or services and refrain from making false claims or misleading statements.

2. Respect for Diversity

Sponsors should respect and celebrate diversity in all its forms, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and religion. Discrimination and harassment will not be tolerated.

3. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Sponsors must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. They should also respect intellectual property rights and refrain from engaging in any form of plagiarism or copyright infringement.

4. Ethical Marketing Practices

Sponsors should engage in ethical marketing practices, avoiding aggressive or deceptive marketing techniques. Promotional materials must be accurate and truthful.

5. Conflict of Interest

Sponsors should avoid situations that may create a conflict of interest. If a potential conflict arises, sponsors must disclose it promptly to event organizers and act in an ethical and transparent manner.

6. Professionalism

Sponsors should maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with conference organizers, attendees, and other sponsors. Respectful and courteous behavior is expected at all times.

7. Continuous Improvement

Sponsors should continually assess their sponsorship practices and seek ways to improve their ethical standards. Feedback from conference organizers and attendees should be valued and used to enhance future sponsorship activities.

8. Event Scheduling

Sponsors must not organize any events for conference attendees that conflict with the official conference schedule and agenda.
